Yogi’s opens in the former Taster’s Pizza location by fall 2023, offering food from brunch through late-night, plus arcade games. Brendan Berl, the longtime local behind the restaurant, has dreamed up a menu of hot sandwiches, nachos, fried onion strings, ice-cream sandwiches—and cheap beer. Sway (see photo), an award-winning Thai restaurant originating in Austin, opens on Restaurant Row on Hopkins Avenue in summer 2023. Inspired by the Thai phrase, “Same same but different,” the restaurant offers classic dishes alongside modern renditions of those familiar flavors. Prolific chef-restaurateur Mawa McQueen opened an Aspen branch of her popular Crêpe Shack—serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, local Bonfire Coffee, and homemade pastries—in the space Starbucks vacated at Cooper and Mill. Stranahan’s Whiskey, with local roots, opens a tasting room and restaurant on the Mill Street Mall fronting Wagner Park. And after 19 years on Hyman Avenue, The Wild Fig embraces a new home around the corner, also on the Mill Street Mall—opening a space for Le Bateau, a French coastal-inspired restaurant by the owners of Unravel, in its former location.
